Garlic Bread
Introduction
Most breads are already vegan, but double-check because some might contain butter or milk (like sourdough).ย For this, I usually default to an Italian loaf, but you can use whatever your favorite happens to be.ย It is also difficult for me to specify amounts of the ingredients here, because I have no idea how large your loaf of bread will be.ย So youโll need to use your best judgement on this one.ย Brazil nuts have a parmesan-like flavor, so if you canโt find any grated parmesan, you can grind up some Brazil nuts for a pretty good substitute.
Total Time: 20 to 30 minutes
Instructions
โข Preheat the oven to 400ยฐF.
โข Slice the loaf of bread horizontally length-wise, creating two long, flat pieces.
โข Spread butter on each piece.
โขย If using Brazil nuts, grind them in a small blender (I use aย Bullet) or food processor.
โข Sprinkle the ground nuts or parmesan cheese over the slices as evenly as you can.
โข Sprinkle the onion powder, garlic powder, and parsley over the slices as well.
โข For the paprika, sprinkle very sparingly. Paprika is a strong spice, so you donโt need very much.
โข I like my bread just a little crunchy on top while still soft in the middle, so I recommend baking for 12-13 minutes. If you like a crunchier bread, you can leave it in for longer or use the broiler for 3-5 minutes with the bread in the middle rack (but keep an eye on it so it doesnโt burn!).
โข When done, slice into pieces.
